Needs evaluation: Vaginal bleeding in a post menopausal woman is always abnormal and almost always needs and evaluation. Even if the person in question is so debilitated or frail that no exam or surgical intervention would be considered a blood test for severe anemia would usually be in order. A gyn exam would be the place to start. Along with the blood tests those results would determine the next steps.

Check with gyn: It is good idea to see gynecologist if you have at least two short courses of vaginal bleeding on separate days. If you have constant bleeding, then please contact your local physician.
