1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in

Dr. Ed Friedlander answered
Pathology 44 years experience
Hydrocele: You'll be just as potent and just as fertile. But things may be a little clumsy, especially if the hydrocele's big. Having it treated is a simple procedure.

A 28-year-old male asked:
What is the definition or description of: married?
1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in

Dr. Richard Bensinger answered
Ophthalmology 52 years experience
Legal term: This is the term for the legal/religious contact between two individuals who make a committment to each other, sometimes out of love, but sometimes for financial or other reasons. It is not defined in the bible and marriage in fact is a recent development of the past 400 years or so related to property rather than personal interaction.

A 32-year-old member asked:
What marriage advice can you give me if I am married to someone with an incurable disease?
3 doctor answers • 5 doctors weighed in

Dr. George Klauber answered
Specializes in Pediatric Urology
My sympathies: Very difficult question without knowing details of incurable disease, mental status, amulatory status, age of spouse & how much nursing care &/or support is necessary. Is this a malignant or a progressively dgenerative condition. True marriage is there in sickness & in health & is part of what hopefully is a wonderful commitment. Best get advice from dr. & objective relatives & friends.

A member asked:
My bf of 2+yrs is 46 has ocd. He says he wants to get married but is too scared. He worries about details like who's silverware to keep is this ocd?

Dr. Pamela Pappas answered
Psychiatry 42 years experience
OCD symptoms: Ocd symptoms can interfere with daily life. You don't mention whether he is already getting treatment for this. But if not, please know this condition can be helped with medications and psychotherapy. You can encourage him to see his physician, and if already seeing a psychiatrist/psychotherapist, to tell them what he's experiencing so therapy can include it or needed meds can be adjusted.

Erection Troubles: Thank you for asking this question. This is a common occurrence and we are lucky to have some good options for finding out the cause of this and also treating this so you can resume your sexual life.
Given your age you may be having early male menopause so you will need testosterone and thyroid testing. You may also do well with a dose of one of the ed drugs out now.
Do not worry.
