She is normal: This can be a normal finding on some girls, she could be cold, she could be aroused. All perfectly normal things. As long as we are just talking about hard nipples and no lumps or discharges, nothing to worry about at all.

Vasospasm: This could be a sign of vasospasm, which is when your blood vessels constrict and restrict blood flow to the area. To help with this keep your whole body warm and breasfeed in a warm place. As soon as a vasospasm occurs, interrupt pumping or feeding and warm your nipples for 10min with a warm cloth. Avoiding caffeine and smoking can help.

Less suction: Vigorous pumping can lead to suction bruises. If your pump has a suction strength adjustment, lessen the suction to see if it resolves the problem. Regardless, suction bruises may be unsightly, but they are harmless.

Hard to say: Male and female nipples may respond to sexual arousal, cold temperature, irritation from clothing, etc. They are delicate tissue and react to different stimuli. I'm not sure that you should make any assumption about why they are hard.
