No days: Usually pain from kidney stones disappears nearly immediately after the stone is passed. If pain persists for even hours after the passage of a stone, it suggests that the flow of urine is still obstructed as from another stone or something else like blood. If an appropriate imaging procedure like an ultrasound or cat scan does not reveal a blockage, there might be another cause for the pain.
