See below: It can be detected in a urine drug screen for up to six days. It can also be detected in hair and nail samples for much longer than this. If you have a prescription for the pain medication this will not be a problem with a drug screen.

Hydricodone: The halflife of hydrocodone is 4 to 6 hours. In 5 half lives, or 20 - 30 hours, the majority will be eliminated. However sensitive urine tests may detect a single dose for 3 days. Chronic hydrocodone users may have detectable drug in the urine for 6-7 days.
