Try Neti Pot: Most 'sinusitis' cases are actually acute viral rhinosinusitis (ie.Not bacterial). Most gudelines suggest waiting at least a week unless foul discharge, fevers or worsening symptoms. Try saline irrigation first!

Yes, if bacterial.: Bacterial sinusitis needs to be treated with antibiolotics. However, colds (viruses) do not. See a doctor, particularly if you have a fever.

NOT ALL REQUIRE TX: Most cases of acute sinusitis resolve on its own. Antibiotics should be reserve if symptoms persist more than 10 days. In the meantime use of decongestants, analgesic (tylenol, aspirin, nsaid)ocassionally using antihistamines will work as well such as Loratadine or cetirizine.
