This could be normal: It is not uncommon to have variations in how your bleeding presents during your cycle. Some cycles start off with pink spotting, then progress to heavier bright red bleeding with small clots, then end with dark brown or black spotting. The dark coloration could represent old blood that has pooled in the vagina overnight, or just simply the end of your cycle. See your doctor if pain or odor occurs.
