A member asked:

Do women with pcos have high estrogen levels or low estrogen? i've heard it's usually high but somewhere it's mentioned that the levels are low.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pcos: Women with pcos more frequently have higher estrogen levels. The problem however is compounded by an excess of androgen hormones e.g. Testosterone that causes many problems. Also women with pcos tend to develop hyperinsulinism that make matters much worse. Pcos requires careful medical attention to maintain health.
