What is the definition or description of: blood disorders?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very involved: There are many types of blood cells: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, etc which can develop problems. In addition there are diseases of the bone marrow (where blood cells are made) such as leukemia, myelodysplasia, polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, etc. All of these disparate disorders plus others unmentioned are considered blood disorders.
