Get checked: Periods should last up to 8 days, if your periods are lasting 10 days consistently you need to see your gyn for further evaluation.

Irregular periods are one of the most common problems Obgyns treat.: If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . there are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Can be normal,: keep track of cycles and if changes seem to be happening every month, testing for hormone/metabolism issues, or uterine lining abnormalities would be appropriate. Anemia is a risk if bleeding continues.

Menses irregular: This happens with some frequency for many different reasons. It should not be a problem if not associated with other new symptoms. If it begins to occur like this regularly go and be seen by a gynecologist. Good luck.
