This is not normal: This is not normal and you should find out the cause which can be due to inflammation or irritation. Sensitivity to creams, lotions, ointments, soaps or detergents are possible inciting agents. Infection can also cause burning. Hydrocortisone ointment may help to ease inflammation from non-infectious causes but should not be used if you suspect infection.
