A member asked:

Could bleeding in bottom cause blood in urine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hemorrhoids: Blood in the urine is usually due to a urinary tract infection (UTI) or kidney stone, both of which usually cause pain. Blood in the toilet, noticed after voiding , is sometimes related to hemorrhoids, anal fissures or vaginal bleeding, all common after recent childbirth. A urine specimen obtained by cather will help detect or rule out the source of the bleeding.
