It shouldn't: I assume you are talking about a post-dural puncture headache caused after a spinal tap. If so, the resulting headache usually lasts only a few days. If symptoms persist despite adequate hydration and analgesic treatment, you could consider a blood patch. A blood patch is the placement of some of your own blood in the epidural space near the source of the CSF leak.
