A member asked:

What could cramps and bloating during breastfeeding be?

Due to nursing: If you are early in breastfeeding, the cramps you likely feel (especially in the uterus) are caused by the same hormones that create milk and cause the milk glands to contract and release the milk. Thus, it likely means that nursing is going well.

Normal: cramping is normal with breast feeding. Bloating may be related to constipation or acid indigestion
