No: 4 years from the expiration date is too long for the medication to be effective. Studies have shown that many medications can safely be used/taken after the expiration date, over three years is not going to be effective.Going much past a year on an inhaler would not be recommended. More importantly, albuterol is a rescue medication. You want to make sure it works and is effective when needed.
