Probably: You really should see your doctor before stopping any medications. Lexapro (escitalopram) takes at least 21 days to tell if it is going to help you or not. If you are having severe side effects, i would stop Lexapro (escitalopram) and call your doctor. Lexapro (escitalopram) has a relatively long half-life so stopping it 'cold turkey' should not be too much of a problem after 13 days.

Taper off Lexapro (escitalopram): Reduce your dosage by 50%. Take the smaller dosage for eight days as you would regularly.. Always consult your doctor before reducing your Lexapro (escitalopram) or other SSRI intake. Good luck.
