Viral vs bacterial: Over the counter treatments are very reasonable for common cold symptoms (pain meds, decongestants, saline, humidity). However, for cold symptoms lasting longer than 7-10 days you may have a bacterial infection like sinusitis. See your doctor. Antibiotics may be necessary for symptoms not getting better by observation alone.

You are ill: Please, get to in to see your family doctor. This is an illness and at this length of time it means you very well may need antibiotics.
