Better: They like it better. That's why they do it. I stopped working in the er 20 years ago as soon as i could afford to do so and still eat after paying my student loan payment. I love the specialty of ophthalmology. That's why I do it. The er docs love the challenge, the excitement, the chance to save lives and make a huge difference immediately. Different strokes for different folks.
