Not before 6 months: It is best to wait to start introducing foods other than mothers milk or formula until about 6 months of age. Try introducing one baby food at a time for about a week to make sure that if the baby has a reaction, you will know which good was the problem.

Baby food: Mushing up a banana is a common practice when mothers and fathers begin to feed their toddlers food other than just breast milk or formula. So six to nine months of age is probably normal.
