Normal bleeding: If she had a normal bleed you likely missed pregnancy. 4 days before cycle is not usually a fertile time in someone with regular 28 day cycles.

Not pregnant: Semen inside the vagina in the five days prior to ovulation leads to pregnancy. These are the most likely days to cause pregnancy. If she gets pregnant she will not have her next period. Having a normal period after this exposure, on the other hand means she did not get pregnant. Periods are the defining event announcing one is not pregnant!
