A member asked:

I have a stomach bug and haven't ate or drank anything all day. now 99.7 temp and bad headache (caffeine withdraw), could temp be from dehydration?

Unlikely: That's a normal temperature. However, a viral infection ("stomach bug") will often produce fever. Fluids are definitely the most important treatment now. Not eating is okay (for a while at least), but you need to drink or you'll get sicker and feel much worse. If fever develops, you'll need to drink even more as you "burn off" more fluids. Rest, drink water and feel better....

Actually this isn't : Too elevated but you need to start hydrating right away. Start with clear liquid like water, soda that is clear, or sports hydration drinks. Sip, sip, sip. Work up to solids with bland foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, gelatin, or chicken. Avoid alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, dairy & high fat foods. Rest.
