Prevent cavities: Important to wean from the bottle. Toddlers who use bottles are more prone to develop cavities. If they are sleeping with the bottle they may also be more prone to ear infection. Wean by starting with a water only policy in the bottle for a few days. Giving your toddler another transitional object for sleep such as a small toy may help. This is a great age for your toddler's first dental visit.
