Hormonal ?: Spotting can sometimes occur pre- ovulation due to hormonal changes affecting the endometrium( inside lining of the uterus). If it occurs at other times of your cycle, then it could be due to polyps, fibroids, pregnancy or cancer. Please see your doctor.
