A member asked:

Hcg beta serum is below 1.2 what does it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not pregnant: Nearly all labs measuring HCG will have a cut off of 2 or 5 (depending on the lab) as representing a negative. Thus 1.2 is negative by nearly all standards. If one is worried, you can always repeat the test, but most labs report HCG as < 2 or < 5. Hope that helps.
