Don't know: The cause of geographic tongue is unknown.. But don't worry about it. The appearance will change nd it may come and go but it is nothing to worry about. It is totally benign.

GT and stress?: While the cause of geographic tongue is not known & there has been some link between patients who get geographic tongue & those who get psoriasis, this occurrence is still not well understood. Many studies have disproven stress as a factor. In my personal opinion, stress can be a very detrimental influence on the body and may contribute in some indirect way to many disorders whether proven or not.
