Metformin: It has, but it has side effects but not very much. Not a good medication if you have kidney failure. Discuss with your doctor. It doesn't make a lot of weight loosing but some.

Metformin: It can be both a pill causing a lot of side effects, including diarrhea. It lowers your blood sugar and should not be taken if you do not have diabetes. I would strongly suggest you do not use this for weight loss.
