A member asked:

Is it possible to have implantation bleeding on the exact day you are expected to menstrate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Implantation starts to occur 5-6 days post ovulation. The burrowing effect of the embryo continues for several weeks. Implantation bleeding then becomes retroplacental hemorrhage as the pregnancy progresses. Most of what people call 'implantation bleeding' is usually the start of menses.
