Immune test: The body normally makes immunoglobulins iga, igg, igm, ige and igd. Low or absent IG levels are seen in patients with recurrent infections. A low igm level that is clinically relevant usually occurs in the presence of a low igg and/or IgA level. It is always best to treat a patient, not a number. If a person is otherwise healthy and only has lower igm, usually no worries.
