Is it ok to have occassional alcoholic drink while taking allopurinal?

No: Allopurinol is to prevent gout. If you consume alcohol, it can cause a gout flare. If you don't want a gout flare, you take Allopurinol so drinking on the medication negates its beneficial affect.
