Dribs & drabs: Often the period blood is still present in the vagina when the period has seemingly stopped. It will later come out with exertion, sexual activity or straining at the stool as 'spotting' or 'giblets'. If this continues have a gyn md check for other uterine , or cervical problems.

Thin endometrium: Very light periods are usually a funtion of a thin endometrium. Estrogen thickens the lining Progesterone will thin it. Oral contraceptives are Progesterone dominant, and many people on the pill for awhile will have very light periods.
