Sun damage: Technically no. Microdermabrasion can improve ones appearance. However, the term "sun-damage" means more than just external and visible damage to the skin. Ultraviolet radiation can cause changes to the superficial dermis that microdermabrasion (or dermabrasion) cannot reach.

No: Microderm is a superficial exfoliation of the skin. It only penetrates the epidermis. It can help improve dull skin, great for post lasers and can help with product penetration. It will not reverse sun damage-this is a dermal problem and needs light or laser therapies.
