Possibly weeks: A deep bone bruise can be thought of as almost a fracture. In some cases, they can take weeks to heal. If symptoms persist or remain concerning, return to your physician for re-evaluation.

Protect the area : From additional bruising. If truly a bruise, the mostly it will be a matter of time, as long as something about what you're doing is to perpetuate the bruise. Use an oral antinflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) to help ease the pain.
