Yes: All narcotics agents have the potential to be addicting. This effect becomes more pronounced with shorter acting medications. Perhaps, hydrocodone is the most commonly abused pain medication in the U.S. That is why it’s so important to have regular follow ups with your physician to monitor your symptoms and also explore alternative therapy so that one does not depend on only one treatment.
