A bruise.: Chests bruise like any where. No pain, breathing difficulty, no worry.

Contusion: Chest wall contusion is the medical term for your condition. If it doesn't hurt to breath, it is a good sign. If it doesn't bother you at all, i'd leave it alone and it will heal nicely.
