Go see your doctor: Anytime someone believes medication is causing a side effect, it's always best to discuss this w/prescribing doctor. All antidepressants have potential to affect sex drive (libido). Ssri type drugs can also delay ability to reach orgasm. Go see your doctor to discuss your options. Perhaps decreasing dose. Perhaps adding another medication. Perhaps changing to another one altogether. Talk w/ ur doc.

Set a good tx goal: If the sexual side effects are decreasing, as 50 mg zoloft (sertraline) is a small dose for this medication, you may consider staying on it for a few more weeks. Then reevaluate with your md. The goal is a balance between the presence/absence of side effects and how well the medication is working for you. Make a list of target symptoms that should get better. It will help you gage how well zoloft (sertraline) helps.

Talk to doctor: If your libido continues to decrease while on sertraline, and the sertraline is helping with your anxiety, the best option, in my opinion, is to talk very specifically with your treating physician. Libido problems are relatively common with sertraline and other antidepressants. There are many other medications that are effective in treating anxiety.

Please advise the: Physician who is prescribing you the sertraline. It can sometimes impact libido (anxiety can as well). Possible options are to lower the dose, change medications, or add another medication in with it. Take care.
