I haven't had a period since june 22nd but am not pregnant. my dr gave me metformin but it doesn't seem to be helping, any suggestions?

Metformin: Will only help with fertility if you have pcos or Insulin resistance. The most effective dose is 1000 mg twice a day with meals. Starting dose is 500 mg twice a day and need to be increased in steps week.Y as tolerated. Make sure you're on the maximum dose if tolerated to get the full benefits of the drug. Diet, exercise and weight loss is also essential.
