No worries: If gaining weight well and feeding regularly well during the day, then there is nothing to worry. If he wakes up, feed him, but if he "decided" he was ready to sleep more during the night, then great! enjoy the sleep.

Babies: Babies will let you know when they are hungry. The 3-4 hour "rule" is flexible. As long as he is happy and gaining weight, there's nothing to worry about.

Never Need To Wake: Great for you! my colleagues are correct. Just to reinforce their answers, babies are ' hardwired' to indicate hunger. The schedules that advise waking a healthy baby for feeding are not based upon any solid research for proof.
