Look for cause: By definition, dysfunctional uterine bleeding (dub) means that you are not ovulating regularly. There is often an underlying cause, such as thyroid disease, diabetes or polycystic ovarian syndrome. You need to talk with your doctor about these conditions. In the meantime, birth control pills are an excellent way to regulate your cycles. If uncertain about pregnancy, take a test!
