Flushing with meds: Some medications may have a side effect that causes a flushing sensation of warmth, itchiness or burning. This is common with Niacin and is not an allergy. Some people find relief by taking 325mg of Aspirin 15-30 minutes before the medication. Slowly increase the dose of your medication so that your body has time to adjust or avoid hot drinks at the time of medicating yourself.
