Avoid alcohol: Avoid alcohol and other food triggers. Use topical medications such as fiancea and use oracea. If necessary an antihistamine could also helpful. Also avoid temperature triggers such as heat.

Flushing with meds: Some medications may have a side effect that causes a flushing sensation of warmth, itchiness or burning. This is common with Niacin and is not an allergy. Some people find relief by taking 325mg of Aspirin 15-30 minutes before the medication. Slowly increase the dose of your medication so that your body has time to adjust or avoid hot drinks at the time of medicating yourself.
