If you were : Bit by a tick it is imperative to be seen by a doctor. You do not want to develop any sequela of lymes disease.

May take long: Some tick bites may lead to lyme disease, and on many occasions, the insect's jaws or even a head could remain lodged in the skin and cause a persistent skin reaction - have a physician check it out closely, especially as lyme disease can lead to serious arthritis flares.
