Dont take personal: Many individuals have to work for difficult people with varying personality traits - i recall an old book titles something like dinosaur brains - learning to work with difficult people at work. It is difficult to change people's personalities, but recognizing it is not personal and what pleases the individual if they are a boss helps. Counseling by an eap psychologist is another suggestion.
