A member asked:

Is the penis an organ or a muscle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Organ: It's principal components are three masses of curious blood vessels; the outlets squeeze shut to cause these to fill with blood when it's time for an erection. Like all vessels, these are rich in smooth muscle. There are "pop" terms that describe the penis as a muscle and there's no reason to aim for scientific precision when the discussion turns to romantic love.
