A member asked:

What kind of rub to use for arthritis while taking warfarin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IcyHot, Zostrix (capsaicin): Glad you asked. Warfarin (brand coumadin) has many interactions with other drugs that make it less effective or dangerously high leading to bleeding. Most topical rubs such as bengay, icyhot or capsasin should be ok. I would avoid topical aspirin.
