Could be: A few things. Sudden severe pain is worrisome; locations you stated mean it could be a kidney stone, ovary (females), colon, vascular, etc. Take note of frequency, severity, and duration of symptoms. Also note other associated symptoms (fever, nausea) and bowel changes (blood, diarrhea, absence of).
