A member asked:

Will contractions at 12weeks slow fetal heartbeat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: At 12 weeks, the fhr usually settles into the normal range of 120-160, but tends to be on the higher end of the range. Contractions of the uterus, whether spontaneous, or, for example, associated with orgasm, are not harmful to the fetus.
