A member asked:

Can not having a period during birthcontrol lead to cysts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The opposite: The pill prevents cysts, so many of my pts take the pill continously without getting a period, the more days per month you are on the pill, the less likely to get a cyst that is why the newer pills that are 24-4 or the loloestrin that is 24-2-2 are much better at preventing cysts thanthe old 21-7 pills( i never prescribe a 21-7 pll anymore) and u can take the pill continously and skip the placebo.
