Not an indicator!: While this is a popular belief that the fhr (fetal heart rate) is correlated with gender, it is actually not true. The preganncy will start off with a heart rate baseline above 140 early in the pregnancy, and by the end, the baseline will likely be less than 140. There is no correlation of the fhr with gender. There are better ways to find out the gender of the baby!
