A member asked:

Can i get sick from eating old cooking oil?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not healthy : You won't get sick immediately from eating old cooking oil, but having oil that has been sitting around for a while means the oil has very likely gone rancid. When that happens, trans fats develop and those are very unhealthy for us. So it is generally wise to use fresh oil for cooking and eating.
