See orthopedist: Commonly, shoulder blade pain can be from the neck or bursitis around the blade. Ribcage/chest pain can be from rib joints. Sometimes, trigger point steroid injection of the shoulder balde bursitis can be helpful along with physical therapy, and medications such as muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatories. See an orthopedist for proper diagnosis.
