Common confusion!: If you had conceived during the cycle prior to 7/2, then the test should have been positive on or after 7/2. That being said, there can be variation in terms of when you ovulate, and thus variation in terms of when you conceive and when a test will turn positive. In the setting of a negative pregnancy test, your symptoms are obviously not related to pregnancy. They are more likely cycle related.
